About Materials

Stainless steel is a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5% chromium content by mass. It is highly corrosion resistant and wear resistant, provides excellent machinability, and is well-known for its aesthetic appearance.

People often only distinguish whether it is stainless steel by the fact that it does not rust or bleach, but this is inaccurate and unspecific. There are various types of stainless steel, and their uses are different. The rust resistance, corrosion resistance, and bleaching are also different. Simple surface features are no longer distinguishable. Below we introduce the characteristics and elemental composition of some commonly used stainless steel alloys, which have been widely used in people's production and life.
